Mobile to the rescue in San Francisco!

Last weekend while I was in San Francisco, the local public transit system, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), was on strike. I arrived on the 18th with the anticipation of using the subway system to get to my hotel downtown. Unfortunately the morning of the 18th was the kickoff of the weekend-long strike by BART, during a very busy weekend for the city including several street festivals, a music festival and the Nike Women’s Marathon. A weekend that was going to be tough for commuting already just got even more difficult. That is until I remembered to use my smartphone…
