New Poll Finds Consumers Overwhelmingly Satisfied with Their Wireless Service
New polling from McLaughlin & Associates of New York indicates U.S. cell phone users remain highly satisfied with their wireless service but are leery of attempts by any level of government to regulate the service.
Of the 1000 cell phone users polled,
- More than 85% are satisfied with their cell phone service.
- 72% believe government regulation on cell phones would make cell phone service worse or make no difference.
- Only 27% are aware of any efforts to regulate cell phones.
- More than 66% believe new state government regulations on cell phone service would make cell phone service more expensive.
- Nearly 55% are likely to contact the federal or state government if they were planning on raising taxes or adding more government regulations on cell phone service.
McLaughlin & Associates conducted this survey via telephone in February 2006.
