As we’ve recently told you here, the Rhode Island state legislature is currently considering the ‘Rhode Island Telephone Regulation Modernization Act’ (S. 2393 Sub A), that would modernize the state’s communications laws to protect wireless consumers and promote innovation, investment, job growth and competition.
The Rhode Island House Corporations Committee recently heard the bill and recommended that it go to the entire House of Representatives for discussion and action. However, the Senate version of the bill (S. 2393 Sub A) is better for the economy and consumers because it ensures certainty and will avoid unnecessary regulation.
